Merddin Emrys - Oil Fired

Merddin Emrys is the oldest Double Fairlie still in working order, and like the real thing ours is the oldest in terms of build date. A Wrightlines kit that's based on it's time as oil fired. Built by Peter Hoyle and recently re liveried by Chris Clark.

Earl of Merioneth

Earl of Merioneth a future Double Fairlie TBA

David Lloyd George

David Lloyd George built by the Ffestinog Railway, Boston Lodge in 1992 is a modified Wrightlines Double Fairlie kit built by Paul Holmes to a very high standard. Over the years DLG has seen many liveries from Grey, Brick Red to what it is currently carrying. Our model is what you see today. A real favourite among enthusiasts and crews alike.

Taliesin II

Taliesin II is a single fairlie locomotive, completed at Boston Lodge in 1999. Our model depicts the loco in the mid to late 2000s livery with added coal bunker arrangement following conversion back to coal firing. This EDM / Keith Millard kit was started by Colin Lea's late father and finished off exquisitely by Paul Holmes. A favourite of ours often gets people talking about it at shows.

James Spooner II

James Spooner is the newest Double Fairlie on the Ffestiniog Railway, as soon as we saw it we had to have one. Ours is a  Wrightlines kit, adapted, painted and lined by Peter Hoyle, with custom 3D  bells and sandpots. The locomotive is mounted on a pair of EDM chassis built for us by Paul Holmes.
